From the "Pas de Deux" series in which I explore artistic nudes and meaning of life. This graphic deals with the subject of the birth of Venus. Venus was a Roman goddess that represents love, beauty, sex, fertility, prosperity, victory, and desire. She is shown coming from the shell as in Nascita di Venere from Botticelli.Second figure is Anael, a Jewsih angel related to Venus. He is also connected to Sephirah Netzach, from Kabbalah. Netzah is seventh Sephirot representing eternity and victory. In Tarot Venus is the Empress’ astrological equivalent. The Empress, fourth of the Major Arcana, corresponds to the Hebrew letter Dalet. The pentagram of Venus is the apparent path of the planet Venus as observed from Earth. In Neoplatonism, the pentagram was said to have been used as a symbol or sign of recognition by the Pythagoreans, who called the pentagram "hugieia" (health)
