About The Artwork
This artwork expresses a quintessence of having a relaxing time in nature. I was inspired by my multiple visits to the Outer Banks, NC, and my time spent by the ocean. Warm sand, sounds of the waves rolling on the shore, delicate breeze bringing aromas of herbs from the dunes, laughs of children, water sports…All that is encompassed in this abstract composition, where textures, colors, and real sand from the location, bring some magic from the place I love to viewers of my art.

Kasia Szczesniewski was born in Legnica, Poland, then for 20 years she lived in Wroclaw, beautiful, old city, where she was immersed in a lively European culture. Finally in 1989 she moved to United States where she found her new home, and where she spread her wings as an artist. Kasia is an active member of the Chicago art community, showing and selling her works, doing commissions, and also, organizing art events.
