Maayan and Maël are partners and collaborating artists. Their work is inspired by their long and magnificent travels. Meditation and Tai Chi practices. Hypnosis and nature. They explore in their work the idea of altered states of consciousness, induced by meditation, dance and repetition. And the subject of temporality. Maayan is a plastic artist and a tattoo artist. Born in Israel . Had lived for 20 years in Asia. Studying martial arts and Yoga. All the while tattooing and making and selling art. Now residing and creating in france. Maël is french and studied Civil Engineering, Acoustics, Computer Science and Music Technologies. He lived for 8 years between south east Asia and India where he studied music through djing and production. Maël started to collaborate with Maayan with music and on different visual projects. Drawing, painting, and lastly he started to mix his art and programming skills to create digital images. The art pieces presented here are mostly mixed media of digital print, or ink with hand made embroidery. Some pieces are made with organic matter like flowers, leaves and strings.
