Born in Naples in 1966, he lives and works in Rome. With an academic background in Economics, he began his artistic career by teaching himself, taking a multi-faceted and informal route to expressive fulfilment. Collector, explorer and visionary, he doesn’t paint, he experiments. He allows his actions to transform his insights into works, thus revealing the emotive power of the substance. Original, commonplace and forgotten materials become the pretexts to express himself, substance, idea and object forming a perfect cohesion. A challenge to consumerism, convention, rationality, the rules. His rudimentary images transform into expressive paradigms with infinite possibilities for personal articulation in function of the spaces, situations and states of mind of the moment, in a way that is never static, never conclusive, but always temporary, unstable, evolving over time.
