About The Artwork
TRIPTICO is one of a series of triptychs depicting sculptural presences; this being one of my main approaches to photography. Inspired by classic mythology. The work was made with digital photography, altered, adding marker ink and acrylics. Each of the three panels is on Canon photographic paper semi-gloss 11 x 8.5 inches. The photography and alterations were made around 2007; the printing and acrylic additions in 2017. The images are all approximately the same height (10 5/8 inches) but the width of each image is different: 4 1/2; 5 1/8 and 4 7/8 inches.

Mexico
Born in Monterrey, Mexico. The family moved to Mexico City when he was three years old. Belonging to a family of artists, received training in the fine arts from early childhood. First work on film and photography was done for his father (who made documentaries). Years later began accumulating negatives made during trips as a music performer. Those negatives (several thousands) became the basis of future imageries to be transformed. Made studies in Mexico, England, Belgium and the USA.
