Expiration of the Extraordinary ​ This project explores the slow expiration of the extraordinary light that lives inside us for a short time; we are born smashed into this world with a light burning inside us. It gleams through us. With time, it we don't stoke the fire, the light fades and we start to turn into the animal versions of ourselves; horses, bears, apes, dogs. When the fire is ash, we become the beasts within. What is a Thermal Sublimation Print? An inkjet print is created on special transfer-paper and then transferred to an ultra-thin chemically treated aluminum sheet using extreme heat. This unique high-quality process results in unusually brilliant and intense colors. It is scratch and weather proof. You can display this piece indoors or outdoors, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, or the living room.
