About The Artwork

This one is part of a series of paintings where I was inspired with the magnificent multitude of colours we see in the sky. The warm greys up to a real ochre tone combined with white and blue always catches my eyes. Dealing with aspects of perception for more than 20 years in my work I have mostly used this concept of three panels placed at a distance. For various reasons it helps to concentrate on how we see and not only what we see. So this work does not aim at describing clouds ina phtographic way. It is more the basic alements of what we see and I try to show the visual concept that makes us see these wonderful actors above us. Painting comes readily framed in a quality aluminum frame, see photos. Signature is on the back of the artwork. By request it can be signed on the frontside bottom right.

20 Years of Multipanel Paintings - Quotations: “Starting from the artistic question: ‘What is it that triggers the viewer’s response to relate and explain things?’ new experiments on perception emerge.” Kirsten Schwarz, Art Historian, Siegen
***** „We start every cognition with a hypothetical determination about the background against which we see everything. Numerous statements of Mr Schultze-Schnabl aim at this philosophical premises and we can learn in playful experiments what manifestations develop depending on each definitional premises.“ Prof. Berthold Stötzel, Siegen
