About The Artwork

The Ferrari 375 MM was a Ferrari race car produced in 1953. Named after unitary displacement of 4,5L V12 engine and Mille Miglia race. With engine based on its F1 counterpart, but with smaller stroke and bigger bore. The first prototype was a Vignale Spyder and the three next cars were Pinin Farina Berlinettas, all converted from the Ferrari 340 MM. This painting is inspired by a photograph taken by Darin Schnabel in 2013. The car’s representation is enhanced by green, white & blue colors, making this « dream car » unreachable. In 2013, this car was sold for $9,075,000

Robert Stephen Moore is a creative, pop-art painter whose work focuses on a unique and colorful view of the familiar. His vivid acrylic paintings offer slices of primary colors applied strategically, though approximately, often giving a realistic, portrait-like feel. Drawing upon a wide variety of inspirational life and work experiences, Moore takes us on a tour of his "Boomer" view of the world. Working in traditional genres such as portraiture, still life, and landscape, Moore's paintings are inspired by images coming from memories and photographs of the culture, economics and politics of his childhood growing up in the 60's and 70's. Moore's background and education is in the scientific side of Geography, particularly Cartography and satellite image processing. In the early 1970's, he was one of the first users of sophisticated computer modeling software for developing remotely-sensed satellite maps. He worked for over 30 years as a consultant and entrepreneur, developing computerized mapping systems and databases and was utilizing newly created computer color/image processing to accomplish this work. Robert reaches deep into his experience with computer graphics and image processing to help him visualize the subjects he paints. Moore works, as chores permit, on his farm in Lisbon, New Hampshire.
