And I saw another beast coming out of the earth .... forces the whole earth and those who live on it to worship the first beast ... and creates great signs, so that fire brings down from heaven to earth before people. And by miracles ... he seduces those who live on the earth, telling those who live on the earth to make the image of the beast ... And he was given to put the spirit into the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast speaks and acts so that everyone who is not killed is killed will worship the image of the beast. And he will do that for all, small and great, rich and poor, free and slaves, a mark will be laid on their right hand or on their forehead, and that no one will be able to buy or sell, except for the one who has this mark or the name of the beast, or the number of its name ”(Revelation 13: 11-17).
