About The Artwork
I was commissioned to create "A Billionaire On Paper" by a Twitter follower who loved the fElonArt I posted on the $TSLAQ thread and wanted an original fElonArt painting in the same vein. I was so excited to get a fElonArt commission that I never bothered to ask for an advance. Oops! When the piece was finished and payment waaaaay past due, el patrón finally fessed up that he just wanted to be my friend, not buy my art. Hijole. Stalking aside, this faux commission resulted in a killer piece that will look bloody marvelous matted, framed and mounted on someone special's wall. So thanks for the inspiration, stranger danger stalker man, and sorry for calling you a silly English pig dog wiper of animal food troughs. "A Billionaire On Paper" was executed on deliciously thick, handmade paper because this medium fit the message so perfectly. Many people say that I'm a post-modern Renaissance woman and they have good reason. After a 14 year very liberal education, I've worked and won awards for my work in all of the so called cultural industries; from performance and dance to sound recording, publishing, screenwriting, film, television and video production and editing, advertising, graphic design and, of course, my first and only true love, visual art. I'm very fond of robust, fauvist lines, mixing media and encorporating found objects into my work. I dig the edginess of hardboiled school graphics and am charmed by folk art's innocent naiveté. Many of my digital artworks have gone viral on social media, most recently a series of parody pieces that I call $TSLAQ fElonArt. Merchandise featuring my fElonArt designs is sold on the popular fulfillment site, Redbubble, which hosts my store, "theshockmarket" and produces my wares. My work has been commissioned/collected by wonderful patrons from all around the world. I have a wicked sense of humour that pops up in my creative content, now and then. I'm also a very good poker player and made it to the WSOP once upon a time. My worst quality is that I have horrible taste in men. Such is life. Nobody's perfect.
