Continuation of dreamland floral impressionistic series. This captures a moment in time of conflicting, mixed emotions. In moments of melancholy and emotional turmoil, it does not matter what beauty surrounds you. This little girl is surrounded and showered with love, yet instinctively and defensively shelters herself from it. *note: there are accents of metallic gold throughout the painting which doesn't come across as effectively in the photographs.
