About The Artwork
An almost worldwide symbol for peace, something the world is in desperate need for. The harsh black outline compliments the free flowing background of heavily thinned coloured pigments, at the same time as framing the grey and red tones of the human hand. These colours where selected to aid the removal of gender, age, ethnicity from the image, making the hand as unbiased as the sign it is depicting.
