About The Artwork
I painted this one in 2016. As I spread my paint on the canvas and began adding some paper collage on it, I realized that the pieces of paper formed parts of a leg and the splash of white color resembled a shirt. I added the arms, the rest of the body and the face and stared at the figure of the young man that appeared out of my messy colors: it was my son. Adolescents are, in a way, philosophers. They are overwhelmed by so many wonderful sensations and feelings and – yet - they often spend their time in a sort of still contemplation, in an urge to understand the human nature; and in doing so they approach the very world for the first time in their life.
