Towards the end of the afternoon the rain ceased and the clouds started to drift away, the sky was scattered with a pale reflecting light beaming through. Then the breeze died too, in the distance the ocean was deep, dark and blue, the air was moist and humidity was thick, the beach shores became one with the deep waters that mirrored the layered afternoon sky.

Internationally-acclaimed Artist Francesca Gnagnarella was born in Italy in 1984, she has moved to Perth, Western Australia in 2007, where she now works and lives. While studying art in Rome and Paris at Sorbonne University, she developed her own unique painting techniques. She also expanded her knowledge of the art world while working at the Picasso Atelier in Paris. Since moving to Australia, Francesca has been exhibiting internationally since 2006 between Australia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong where she returns regularly each year. Francesca’s works are recognized by art collectors for her use of 23 Karat Gold Leaf, which adds a hint of metallic contrast to the the bright colours featured in her bold abstract paintings, and perfectly complements the earthy, ethereal tones of her dreamy landscapes. Her artworks are ethereal, luminous and evoke a sense of lyrical fluidity, making her pieces unforgettable and captivating, like a vision from a dream.
