About The Artwork
This is a piece I created for a friend. It is a piece I worked on for a very long time as I waited all the details I made in oil to dry so that I can work on it more and leave it drying again for next time. It is a portrait of an African tribal woman in my imagination. I took the liberty to add some small details from my own culture as there are some similarities in the shapes of the ornaments and the in the clothing details. I loved adding more and more and playing with the shapes and colours. I used size 0 brush and oil on canvas. Hope you like it.
