Aftermath Painting

I made this painting like aftermath 2 also a couple of days before the Fukushima catastrophe. It started very experimental. I painted an acrylic glas plate with patterns of color to understand how to develop layers on glas painting. What I had to realize when the color was dry, was that I was able to tare of the color. So by taring of the patterns they broke eventually and these forms came off. So I took a canvas and gave it dry strokes with white, red and black color and placed the gained patterns in to the wet paint. I came to realize that there was a burning and broken city in view. And as you can see there is a long red shadow off a human in the white path. The sky is burning and the buildings, too.
