About The Artwork

This results from my internal dialogue of unfinished conversations, disputes, and unwanted outcomes. A program that turns me into a statue of salt while Life passes me by. How unreachable is the present moment when we are stuck in the past! I first painted the figure with oil over Belgian linen, then I sawed it over a cotton canvas as a representation of the old. I chose a young model to show that this pattern is ageless. We all do it, but the better we catch ourselves starting that dialogue the sooner we live in the Now, when happiness is.
