Painting, Acrylic on Canvas

The dimensions of the painting are 57x132. It is painted on cardboard boxes with spray and plastic paint. Colors are mainly warm orange and cold/warm green. They are both complementary colors, so their mixing creates sweetness that does not tire the eye. Also, while I paint on cardboard boxes, I take advantage of its brown shade and leave some spots as they are, unpainted. The work of art depicts a psychedelic female figure, the boundaries of which converse with space and thus creates a fluid substance slightly altered. I intend to combine the rough line with the loose style. The analogy of the figure has references to El Greco (a rangy women’s body). Finally, I would love to share that the driving force of my creation is my life partner. I constantly observe the different parts of her therefore I subconsciously transfer ‘’her’’ to my art. This piece of art is diligently framed, ready to be placed, and adored.

Until I was 25, I didn't know that I was able to paint. Our relationship with painting, which is a long-term one, began because of some repeated dreams in which I starred as a painter. As for my artistic creation, it consists of sections of works of art, each of which also represents a period of my creation. The difference between the periods is reflected in the style, features, and materials I use. So, in my collection one can find cardboard boxes, sometimes fabric collages, drip on canvas, and baked colors. As a painter, I love, if not live for, experimentation and the discovery of new ways of expression. For the most part, I work by defining the random, often forming human shapes as they arise, giving them substance without restricting them through strict boundaries. In trying to identify me, which I usually avoid, I would characterize myself as a productive creator, for whom art is a vital factor. Painting as a need helps me to capture my mental trace every day. Through it, I decompress the converging flagstones of life and death and so through my artwork I live. My main need as a creator continues to be the acceptance of myself, the reconciliation with my mortality, and the reminder of the greatness of my indestructible, eternal energy. -paint to exist and vice versa- An ideal and rare moment for me is the one where the piece of art I create is to my absolute liking. Then I pass into the zone of immortality, and this cannot be covered for any price. In love with my art, there has not been a single day until today, in my 43 years that I have not "grabbed the brush" in my hands. My goal is to communicate my work to the public and to be able to introduce myself without a mask, to interact, to be recognized, and to continue to evolve.
