About The Artwork

Firstly, I chose wood since it is a natural material. I have tried to show the erotic nature of creation at the beginning and thereafter. The fruit of each generations gives birth to the next. The apple denotes the forbidden and frowned on aspect of creation which is paradoxically considered both divine and amoral by us humans. The banana also denotes the masculine aspect of creation, the male genitalia. This system is a creation of god.

I am a contemporary artist based in New Delhi, India. Most of my works are acrylic on canvas or based around wood or paper-based materials. My works focus on human aspects of society, politics, natural environment as well as the chaos that is visible in cities and towns. I also work on some specific themes centered around the environment such as the cyclical nature of creation and absorption, consumption of resources etc. It is my effort to mix realism, contemporary and conceptual forms to showcase my ideas, while using multiple mediums.
