About The Artwork
While living in Argentina, I took a trip south to Patagonia. One of my favorite sites was Estancia San Gregorio, a sheep ranch. A couple of wrecked ships were on the site. I've painted a realistic painting of the ship, but this is an abstraction of one element - the anchor chain - using watercolor and a sea sponge cross section to imprint the links of the chain.
