About The Artwork
This work is an expansion on the Linen Study series; it is the first with the addition of other elements and the figure. Inspired by the 'cocooning' that has been a major factor of the pandemic, this piece was pulled from a resting point during a long Zoom anatomy class. The late afternoon light spilled over my white linen wrapped legs and created beautiful landscapes of blues, greys and pinks. Sensuality, tactility and the soft comforting sense of the body being wrapped are the energies expressed; wine and a book are the reinforcing motifs.
