About The Artwork

Abstract oil painting. Cotton canvas 38*46cm on a wooden stretcher. This artwork was written in an art challenge series. And it is the most recent artwork in this series. And here is the story I wrote about that day and my experiment: The main conclusion. I confirmed my observation, made in the institute yet. The public likes exactly those my arts during whose I could switch off my head. So it is necessary to paint and not to think how to paint something that will like to people. Because if I will to think about it, this my work exactly will not be liked to you. Here is a contradiction. The brain only hinders. ⠀ It's like walking. The body itself knows what is required of it. It automatically, at a level of the spinal cord, makes decision how long will be next step, how to trasfer a weight, how to go around an obstacle. And he's doing great! But if we will think about each steps, our movement will be constrained and awkward. ⠀ The same in painting. You need to paint by your spinal cord. Your own ego hinders both in his ordinary life and in creative work.

I am researching a woman’s self-awareness, formed through the prism of stereotypes and prejudices that were developed in society. I compare behavior deviation from expected patterns to a glitch effect. Glitch art criticizes the digital culture promoting an ideal transmission of the image. Social glitch is self-expression through violation of programmed standing orders. In my context, the glitch looks like an inconsistency in the information expected. I express the glitch effect through the Central Asian ikat ornament. An ornament is a visual projection of a society. And for me personally it is endowed with special meanings because I grew up in Tashkent, and oriental ornament is part of my aesthetics.
