"Arundel Castle" West Sussex United Kingdom. Acrylic on board, seen from the bank of the River Arun. Originally built in the 11th century by Roger De Montgomery, Earl of Arundel now occupied by the Duke and Duchess of Norfolk. No matter how many times I see this view, I never tire of it and felt compelled to paint it, to capture it for one brief moment in time. The landscape is ever changing, the world changes around it but Arundel Castle has remained stoic and ever present for nearly 1000 years.
