About The Artwork
Bean Rock is an infamous marker in the Rangitoto channel in the Hauraki Gulf in the greater Auckland area. This small reef is in the shipping channel approach to Auckland, which is now a mayor port city. The land mark is a wooden cottage style, one of a kind and built in 1870. Originally the lighthouse was lived in, but is no longer is. This is a typical sunset over Auckland city.
