I like to make a pattern on top of a pattern and again make a pattern on top of these. Then you get many layers of patterns and I like how then the model stands out and above these patterns. The background is inpired by nature. It is a very colourful and bright painting. For me it feels like the model is totally unaware of somebody looking at her. She seems at ease and also at the same time quite withdrawn. There is a tension there that I find tantalizing and very sensual. I painted the sides of the painting as well and signed it at the back. The reason of this is that I like to look at the image without disturbances.
