About The Artwork

Warhol was famous for his replications but we live in a new age, replicating became different and the faces, models, objects need an update. This is an art essay, combining Andy Warhol's idea with a new face: Augusta Alexander, a famous Austrian Model. I am very inspired by Augusta's contradictions, he is kind of a muse: very handsome and at the same time sad, crying in this picture. I replicated this picture several times and play with it like a child, I reframe it, add a new layer of the printed photo (I call "Zorro") or tear it up in many parts and put it together like a "Mosaique". There is a lot of inspiration for me in this picture, leading to different series. Further I love to play with colours, they add a tone, a mood, they can underline certain tendencies in watching an artwork or go against the motif. Sometimes I apply epoxy resin in the end, which makes an effect like a rainy window. This underlines the melancholic picture and assures a better longevity. IMPORTANT: None of my artwork is perfect, they are organic, there are drops of paint, tears in the paper, waves, glue residues. They are original!
