About The Artwork
Deep in the aspen forest during an autumn afternoon the artist was inspired to make an on-site drawing. Back in the studio the color was added along the with the topographic line work that delineates the form of the trunks of the trees. This is a signature element of the artist's abstracted depictions of the aspen trees. I hope the viewer will feel the energy and interaction of the trees in the forest when they look at this painting.

B. 1955 in Brooklyn, NY. Raised in Queens, moved to Manhattan, then back to Greenpoint, Bklyn. Moved in 1988 to a small rural town in the Rocky Mountains, Ridgway, CO where I still live and have a studio. I lived in Spain in 2012-2013 and continue to make regular trips there to draw and paint.
