This painting to me is a women walking into the unknown. Which can also be considered heaven paradise. While I was painting this I was praying for change in my life, to go into the next chapter of my life, walking into the unknown. Walking into Azure.

I have been drawing, painting, creating since I was a little girl. My Father was an artist that I admired greatly. When I was little I would work beside him and try to emulate his work. I started with drawing and water colors. I have more recently started working predominately with acrylics. All of my recent paintings have been done on wood using graphite and acrylic. I like to create pieces using scrap and reclaimed wood of all kinds. I enjoy using the grain and natural texture of the wood to add to my paintings. I am also a photographer who enjoys photographing the great outdoors and I use these pictures to practice my painting technique.
