"I choose to paint the invisible emotions, not the visible flesh. I shatter the figurative world, fuse it with my soul, and reshape it through my color palette and brushstrokes. My paintings carry the warmth of the body, yet they resonate with the soul."
Biography:
Jia Yiming is a professional Chinese contemporary expressionist artist. His work centers on freehand expression, seamlessly blending Eastern and Western painting philosophies. Characterized by bold brushwork and pure, intense colors, his art constructs a unique visual language rich in spiritual depth.
Deeply influenced by Daoist philosophy and trained in traditional Chinese calligraphy, Jia integrates the power and linear texture of calligraphy into his contemporary creations, giving his paintings immense visual tension.
After advanced studies in oil painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in 2014, he was deeply inspired by German Expressionism. Since 2016, he has traveled extensively across Europe and China, creating nearly 500 artworks, many of which are in private and public collections worldwide.
Refusing drafts, Jia believes every artwork is the unique crystallization of the present emotion. Once the brush touches the canvas, it is created in one breath—always sincere, always exploring the dialogue between the soul and the world.
