One morning while feeding the crows I noticed one young crow trying to balance on a stick. The weight of the crow made the feat impossible , I decided to create a drawing where he could balance on such a stick. Watercolor wash, charcoal , pastel and Creta Color on Heavyweight Rives BFK paper.

In my work I explore the depths and subtleties of human / animal relationship .I create drawings that reflect the internal and external struggles this relationship creates and the effect it has on us and the animals that share our environment. I am interested in portraying the dualities present in this experience. There are no absolutes in life. Rather, each experience / event is comprised of conflicting opposites. Each individual additionally has her/his own unique experience. Therefore, my drawings are ambiguous and not necessary resolvable, offering an opportunity for reflection and interpretation by each viewer. The pieces merely reflect a subjective understanding of the human/ animal condition, and my desires to explore that further.
