About The Artwork

Story about the painting: "Ever since I was young, I have been fascinated by the paintings of great painters, in which they were able to paint human bodies and portraits in an incredibly perfectly realistic way. Like alive. I decided that I would try to at least approach such mastery in my work. That is also why every new painting of a woman or a man is a big challenge for me. Sometimes the idea of a future work is born in my head, and then I usually spend a long time looking for a suitable model for it. Other times, the idea of a work comes to me spontaneously while looking at a person. Then I play with it in my imagination and when it is assembled in my mind into a definitive form, I start working on the painting. The painting shows a real Hungarian ballet artist, a soloist of a ballet company. We met after one of the ballet performances, which my partner and I sometimes visit. We talked about art, about the demandingness of ballet art, about the demanding trainings and exercises that she has to go through every day. Finally, it can also be seen in her perfectly symmetrical, athletic figure. Conversations with her were an inspiration for me to show the background, the hidden side of ballet art, what you don't see on stage. The drill that accompanies artistic success. Of course, I created the background according to my own imagination to enhance the impression of the painting and the difficulty of this beautiful but hard work."

I have been interested in visual arts and music since childhood. Painting in particular has always been a key element of my life. Whenever I could, I painted. In my youth, however, I didn't think that art could support me, so I graduated from an economics university and then worked in the hotel industry for 10 years in a well-paid management position. However, I felt more and more that I was not following the right path. I needed to express my visual creativity, imagination. That's why I graduated from an art university and fully returned to my age-old passion - painting. In my work, I tried to paint through the eyes of the masters of academia. The Hungarian masters of the 20th century István Sándorfy, Zsolt Bodoni, László Nyári and Tibor Csernus, had a great influence on me. Gradually, however, I found my style, my means of expression. Now I know for sure that I am going the right way, my unique way. I can let my wild imagination run free and paint works that are of interest all over the world. Sometimes so much so that I can barely keep up in time. My style is very laborious and demanding, and you can't finish a painting in a few days. But I am happy that I have it and that I can devote myself to it fully.
