Barrio Borracho Dos Painting

Once, in Puerto Rico I went with friends to a nighttime fiesta in a barrio in Old San Juan. After way too many rum coco frios, I wandered from the plaza down zig-zagging alleyways following nature's call and seeking shadows. Once relieved, I found myself totally lost in a labyrinth of brightly painted clapboard-and-corrugated metal shanties. I stumbled through narrow streets, torn between drunken panic and intoxicated rapture at the kaleidoscope of colors spinning around me, I finally found my way back. Years later, exploring a dynamic tension between interpenetrating opposites, I was transported back to that terrible-wonderful night. I hope you get lost in it, too. Give it some time, you'll discover some fascinating patterns.
