ABOUT THE ARTWORK
An impressionistic piece that was inspired by the view out of my bedroom window on a cold winter morning. I have tried to capture the feeling of ice cold wind and driving sleet. The feeling of gritting ones teeth and matching into the wind. Of work to do despite the weather. I like the style of this piece and it's quite unique amongst my works. Completed in January 2022 it is one of my earliest works and you can see the my style moving towards that of my future skylines' series. The geometric lines were a choice intended to bring stability and strength to the painting. A reflection of the power held within the forest. The energy felt if you place your hand on a tree
