About The Artwork
"Beliar" is a portrait of a Fallen Angel with the same name, and is part of my Fallen Angels Series, inspired by the Dictionary of Angels, as well as John Milton's Paradise Lost and many ancient writings. Beliar is said to be the prince of darkness, supreme adversary of God... he is the Angel of lawlessness.. Before he fell, he is said to have been created next after Luciver. Milton calls him a "false-titled son of God" My painting is a modern illustration of Paradise Lost and as such portraits one of it's the protagonists.

Coming from a long line of visual artists and graphic designers, as well as poets and Arts Teachers, I myself went working in pre-press design, graphic design and finally took a chance to study Fine Arts. I earned my Bachelor as well as my Masters of Fine Arts in Germany, at the renown State Academy for fine Arts in Karlsruhe. Where I worked with internationally well known artists like Franz Ackermann (who was my mentor when I was his Master Student) Antje Majevski, Andreas Slominski, Simone Wester Winter, Gerd van Dülmen and Horst Antes. While working as a professional artist in Loss Angeles, I also teach kids and teens Fine Arts Classes at my studio.
