About The Artwork
This abstract expressionistic mixed media painting is one of my first digital paintings, using the mouse & brushes in the first version of Photoshop around 1998. Printed on an Iris printer which have been used since the late 1980s as final output digital printing devices in the production of fine art reproductions on various media, including paper, canvas, silk, linen and other textiles. Once printed on Canvas, this painting is made with layers of acrylic paint, gel medium, and archival inks. I used a variety of brushes however the last layer was painted using my fingers as to make each dot that makes up the entire painting. It's an understatement to say it took a long time to finish this painting. This is a process that I've developed with the intention of continues experimentation and discovery to share my vision & truth. I hope this painting bring joy & serenity to the audience!

Mixed media artist Paim, also known as Paiman, escaped from Iran after the revolution at the age of twelve, grew up in Germany and for the last thirty-five years lives in San Francisco, Bay Area. From an early age, he was exposed to the arts that stimulated him to explore and express his passion for painting, music and writing.
