Artist Recognition
Artist featured in a collection
This artwork was part of a performance for the opening of my exhibition "Lines of Love and suffering" at gallery Le Fuzz, Marseille, France in December 2022. The owner of the gallery made me discover this artist . When I learned more about Betty Davis' story, I immediately wanted to paint her doing the perfomance and pay tribute to her strength and early liberating songs for women. I was surprised, but not so, to discover I only knew her late husband Mile Davis who had an influence on me growing up a saxophone player myself. Her story has been a bit forgotten today and I feel she is just starting to get the recognition she deserved.

France
Born in 1994, i am a socially engaged visual artist. My studio is in Marseille, France. From the pressures and constraints exerted on the figure of the contemporary woman, I attempt a plastic rewriting in which the mechanisms of domination, are diverted to weaken our pre-established ideological constructions. I paints pretty pictures that try to camouflage deeper scenes and create new narratives. I work from protocols involving history of art and social networks. I studied political sciences at Sciences Po Aix and management at Paris Dauphine University. I learnt the basics of oil paintings with international painters Nushka and Sarah Sedwick. I was awarded with Visa Off Young Talent Prize and Samsung Launching People's 2nd prize. My approach is guided by emotions. My work is a gentle yet flamboyant inner revolution. Setting an questionning or supportive viewpoint on ancient painting figures, social media, conversations, I draw my visual vocabulary with vivid contemporary brushstrokes from the colors around me. In 2020, I decided to dedicate myself to painting (which includes a wide range of medium for me) and my work is presented in Paris, Sedona, and Nice.
