Painting, Oil on Canvas
Size: 11.8 W x 15.8 H x 1 D in
Ships in a Box
This is a medium size original oil painting on canvas, featuring a dark skinned man with purple gowns, suggesting he is a prince due to the history of the colour he is wearing. The frame is included and has been chosen specifically to compliment this painting. The style was a mixture of myself developing my attention to detail and improving my understanding of realism. This way I have achieved a sense of flow and openness by the use of free flowing, detailed and percise brush strokes. The painting is signed by me in the bottom right hand corner and also one the back.

United Kingdom
As a young man, I grew up in the countryside in the SE of Poland. I was inspired to paint and experiment with different mediums by everything around me, mainly driven by the fascination absorbed from the natural environment and the people around me. At the age of 7 my family moved to a small artist town by the sea side in Dumfries and Galloway, in a strong art community surrounded by likeminded individuals. Here I had a lot of attention from my art teachers who pushed me to grow and gave me the tools which would help me establish a career as an artist in the future. They also created and inspired my understanding for art and art history then pointed me in the right direction to channel my creativity in the best way possible. At the next exciting stage of my life, I found myself in the center of the Lake District. I successfully finished school and attended Kendal College for the next 3 years. Here I studied art and design and absorbed every concept and technique I could. After my end of college art exhibition for charity I sold Oil paintings for over £1000. Having applied for the RAA in London, life presented itself with a great opportunity for myself to enrich my knowledge and understanding of culture. This would then provide a more sophisticated pallet which I could use in my fine art degree using illustrative communication. I am now living in Kendal again, picking up the paint brush again after 4 years. I am working with Oil in a wide range of styles from portrait to abstract, getting a feel for what I do best and growing my passion and style every day.
