About The Artwork
The artwork addresses mortality, grief and guilt. While painting the artwork, I could feel and on some level even predict someone close to me would pass away soon tragically, and felt guilt feeling so powerless not being able to prevent it form happening. The name "Black Widow" came to me right at the start of the painting process. I would hope someone dealing with grief and guilt would sense consolation and cohesion with this artwork.
