About The Artwork
My main inspiration is always colour. For this colour palette I chose a split-complimentary combination of yellow, blue and violets. I adore the lush richness of these colours and this artwork is the start of a series of works focusing on this chosen trio. My process is driven by broad, gestural movements and abstract mark-making. While my artworks are, for the most part, created intuitively, my works have a formula that I use to execute them. This process is used in every piece I create and has been refined through my own experiences and many years of painting.

Artists Bio – Rochelle Weber Rochelle Weber is an abstract expressionist artist based on the Gold Coast, Australia. Since 2004 she been working with acrylic paint to express emotions and feelings through her gestural brush strokes and color choice. Having had no formal training, she is a motivated, self-taught artist. With a bold use of color and movement, lines, shape and texture, Rochelle's paintings are not intended to depict objects or living things.
