Bucks County is rich with Stone Buildings and Barns. Each one is its own work of Art! The craftsmen hundreds of years ago were masters at what they achieved in construction. Bolton Mansion in Levittown, Pa. is one of these buildings. Luckily we have people who want to preserve this structure for generations. I feel privileged to be able to do my part by creating Oil Paintings of Bolton Mansion. I trust my Artistic Craftsmanship will last as long as the structure through the centuries. This Oil Painting started as a sketch and ended as a finished piece. Karen A Smith and I went on a tour of the building and then walked over the large property. Karen took this photo. This is a simple door and window on the main building but as History has it nothing is as simple as that when you consider the centuries of people coming and going. Tom is an award winning Contemporary American Bucks County artist who has worked in the district for over forty years. Aside from a career in the Fine Arts, Tom is also a skilled craftsman who, over the years, has specialized in jewelry design and provided services for many of the local Bucks County jewelry stores. He was also the proprietor of a Pencil Portrait business. Today, he continues to create paintings for private collectors in addition to doing commissions.
