ABOUT THE ARTWORK

BROS. is an abbreviation for Brothers. The term also stands for a good male friendship. Whether brothers or friends is left to the viewer. PAAR focuses on the embrace of two men – the hands of one person powerfully grip the torso of the other protagonist. Apparently in a dynamic movement, they support each other - or is it a showdown? The Bros. are no strangers to either – they support each other and at the same time they are in a constant struggle for the hierarchy in your relationship. The image is centered on this embrace. The abdomen appears pixelated and blends into the background. The coloring makes the scenery appear like a statue. In this picture, too, PAAR depicts male strength in a sensitive and vulnerable way - a contrast that is a recurring theme in his work.

Born on July 24, 1973 in Neunkirchen / Austria, his creative talent was recognized as a child. Due to his interest in art and design and his work in architectural offices, the creative aspect was always the focus of his work. Always on the lookout for that special expression in his work, the autodidact would like to develop a unique and unmistakable style and thus achieve a distinctive signature as an artist that should run like a red thread through his works. PAAR does not want to be committed to a specific style or be pigeonholed by the themes of his pictures. He sees his work as an exciting journey that should continue to develop. And when he occupies a niche, he does so consciously - always with the certainty that he can leave it again at any time. The human being is very often the subject of his work. These sensitive, often multi-layered and color-saturated depictions give the viewer scope for their own interpretations. A strong contrast to these images are his works, in which he deals with style icons of automobile construction. The detailed, almost technically cool illustrations reflect the second side, the structured side of PAAR. These works can also be purchased as high-quality prints from the ART Garage at . As different as the two themes are - in this arc of tension they depict the artist and the person PAAR in its various facets as a whole. PAAR's preferred materials are acrylic on canvas, complemented by accents such as gold or silver leaf. In numerous individual and group exhibitions, PAAR has already had the opportunity to bring its works closer to an interested audience. The pictures have already been shown in numerous exhibitions in Austria – including at Art Innsbruck – and also abroad, such as at the Miami River Art Fair. PAAR's works can be found in private collections in Vienna, Mexico City, Berlin and New York, among others.
