Academic painter Denise Kokalj was born in 1963 in Ljubljana. She finished her studies in painting at the Academy of fine arts and design in Ljubljana (2005-2010) under the supervision of Zmago Lenardič and Uršula Berlot - the subject was Figure of today. She takes part in the art workshops and workshops of teaching art elements. She participated in several international as well as Slovenian exhibitions and art colonies. Her art works are located in several collections, such as Collection of Festival Ljubljana, Collection of Luka Koper, Collection KD, Collection of graduates ALOU in Gallery Velenje. She is also the recipient of second award of Gallery Velenje.
