Cap Painting

I call my work "abstract landscapes", meaning by this definition, a set of physical and mental operations that meet in my work, usually expressed through painting and engraving, but also the installation and video. I paint ordinary and extraordinary things in my daily life. All these things are "dumped" on the canvas in the form of empathic perceptions whenever I'm in the studio to paint. In this way my work is a layered succession of these perceptions. Every perception of the other previous lives and it is added as if waiting for something that is yet to come. At some point I decide that a certain pattern is consistent, and so declare the work finished (at least for a while '). The result is often a painting belonging to the genre of landscape, with a fragmented style levels in which the viewer is able to move perticolare creating its configuration. Sometime the figurative references, sometimes appears rather the connective tissue that holds together the perceptions. A passionate collector of my work, one day he made this remark: "I get up every morning and your landscapes I see something different."
