About The Artwork

This oil painting of nude men on the beach is one of a series of capricci or imaginary scenes mixing real with fantasy. It is inspired by the summer season and the carefree leisure for many beachgoers. In the making of this I prefer to do so with the medium of oil on linen. This combination permits a freedom in expression that neatly echoes the freedom of the imagination.
