About The Artwork
After more than five years of not painting and then finally going part time at work and having time to paint again, and then not being sure I wanted to paint and not knowing what I wanted to paint, I finally as I struggled month after month said that I was only going to do what I wanted to do without compromising my intention of course to the best of my ability. What I had been trying to do for the longest time was to use the Venetian technique of painting, which uses glazes, (used by Titian and many others and then later modified and used by the Van Eyckes) and bend that toward my modern interests, which currently is with Luc Tuymans, Giacommetti and presently at most Cy Twombly.
