Cavities Painting

My practice is primarily concerned with exploring the narratives that exist in the tension between drawing, making, moving image and language. Working across disciplines, process becomes a tool to meditate on the weaving of individual experience with collective understanding. Using drawing as sculpture, sculpture as drawing, and practice as research, I construct narratives exploring fact and fiction, gender, place, and the characters so often lurking in the periphery. Born in North Kent in 1990, I received my MA from the Royal College of Art in 2016, where I was awarded the Gordon Peter Pickard Travel Bursary. Nominated for several prizes, I regularly exhibit in London and further afield, including 'Offprint' at Tate Modern and 'Different Strokes' at the Hockney Gallery, which I also co-curated. With a background in arts education up to MA level, I continue to practise as both artist and educator, most recently participaing in group show 'What is DRAWing?' at London’s Temple Church Triforium.
