The Goddess Chandi was born from the energies of the male divinities when the gods became impotent in the long-drawn-out battle with the asuras. All the energies of the Gods became united creating a supernova that combined into one female form. Chandi slayed the demons that created havoc. Chandi, the female aspect of the divine, projects an overwhelming omnipotence, one of the most spectacular of all personifications of cosmic energy. Chandi is described as the angry, terrible and passionate one, the violent and impetuous one. Chandi is associated with good fortune as well as disaster. Her auspicious forms bestow joy, riches, children and cures disease. Her Tattoo reads in German, 'My Heart Burns'
