Fabric is my favorite model, it stays still for days and has so many intricate details... These beautiful silks posed for me in the shape of a dress and while I was painting, butterflies appeared. hence the title, because just as a flutter of a butterfly wing can start and generate a storm on another continent, a small negative shape in a painting-in-progress can lead to whole new take and a change in design... This painting has a sister (Chaos Theory II) that can be attached to it.

I was born on Friday the 13th in The Hague. In 2000 I settled, in an old farm in the South of France where I work full time as an artist. In general I create large size transparent abstract watercolours, work on my Ever Evolving work of art (a 6 meter fresco) and on 3D projects in nature.
