Chaos Painting

I was inspired recently by various abstract expressionists when I have created this piece. I let my emotions take over my mind, and I spilled the chaotic rhythm onto the canvas with various acrylics. I created a mash up of colors that I enjoy viewing. I do believe that abstract artwork is very therapeutic because all of your emotions are spilled onto the material. What I hope people will feel or think while viewing this particular piece would be any range of emotions, but mainly a calming euphoria. Even though I was not feeling necessarily the calmest while creating this painting, it does provide a peaceful subject, something that you can get lost within the strokes. I chose to work with Acrylics on this piece for the specific purpose to spill my emotions very quickly onto the canvas. This painting took no longer than one hour, but the results are mesmerizing. Abstract is a subject that I believe saves my life because it helps me channel all of my emotions, whether they are good or bad, onto the medium and create a calm. Nothing to me is more satisfying than creating the unknown rhythmic vision that your emotions will make when taking over.
