About The Artwork
These houses have always struck me as being beautifully designed , so i decided to paint them . I worked on this piece multiple times , first getting the shapes then getting more and more detailed , this however did not work .So i then went for larger brush strokes in the hope of unity and verve . back and forth i struggled with it but eventually it worked . I think its a lovely little painting and i hope to paint more in this style .

I'm an artist in many styles , i like expressionism creating works that express my feelings on some subject like my own self portrait .I have come to realise that to create a certain idea I must use different techniques to get there . Even a photograph is uncontrollable and this is whats beautiful , I think a painting can be more realistic than a photo .Thus it is not the death of painting but another facet to the medium . Even copying a photograph is impossible often because the painter must change the reality to suit his vision .
